Job Summary: The Hotel Front Desk Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests, checking guests in and out of the hotel, and handling guest requests and inquiries. The Attendant will work under the supervision of the Front Desk Manager and will ensure that all front desk activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel, check them in and out, and answer any questions they may have.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on room availability, rates, and hotel amenities.
· Assist guests with reservations, room changes, and cancellations as needed.
· Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
· Provide guests with information about the local area and attractions and assist with directions and transportation arrangements.
· Manage incoming and outgoing phone calls, emails, and faxes in a professional and courteous manner.
· Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly and effectively and escalate issues to the management when necessary. De-escalating concerns when it arises at the desk.
· Coordinate with other hotel departments to fulfill guest requests and ensure guest satisfaction.
· Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the front desk area and lobby.
· Complete daily administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and report generation.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or a related field.
· Knowledge of hotel front desk procedures, reservation systems, and customer service best practices.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with guests, employees, and vendors.
· Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
· Basic computer skills, including proficiency with email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
· Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
