The Cotton Exchange Tavern - Manager -Savannah GA
The Cotton Exchange Tavern is a casual, family-friendly restaurant on River Street serving lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to add to our management team.
Candidates should have a minimum two-years experience in high volume, full service restaurant setting.
Our restaurant managers are hands-on, participating and directing meal service.
Duties include:
-Recruit, hire, and oversee training of staff.
-Monitor actions of staff and customers to ensure compliance with health,
safety standards and alcohol service regulations.
-Work floor during open hours and resolve employee/customer issues
-Use computer software to monitor inventory, track staff schedules, and perform other record keeping tasks.
-Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services.
-Direct cleaning of kitchen and dining areas to maintain sanitation standards.
-Maintain a safe, secure environment for both employees and guests
-Total receipts and balance against sales, deposit receipts, and lock facility at end of day.
-Schedule work hours for staff.
-Monitor food preparation and methods
-Conduct inventory, place orders with suppliers, schedule deliveries.
-Investigate and respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
-Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling and planning while ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service
-Provide direction to employees regarding operations and procedural issues while developing employees by providing ongoing feedback, establish performance expectations
-Ensure that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures

Requirements:
2 years Restaurant Manager or Supervisor experience in a full service, high volume dining establishment
Strong knowledge of front of house operations including food, beverages, staff supervision, food safety, service techniques, and guest interaction
