Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers, landscape architects, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Conduct site investigations and surveys to assess project feasibility and identify potential challenges.
- Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and calculations using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other software.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project owner for construction projects.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design standards, specifications, and regulations.
- Prepare and submit permit applications, environmental assessments, and other regulatory documents as required.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, technicians, and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of New York, preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on project design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and other engineering software.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
