The Senior Accountant manages the government accounting processes and the department. This role will oversee the federal contracting required accounting practices, including project set up, billing, revenue and general ledger reporting, AP and payroll.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Manage the accounting department
- Prepare and manage cash reporting
- Project Set up & revenue recognition
- Government & Commercial billing
- Manage the General ledger reconciliation and reporting
- Manage and oversee Accounts Payable
- Manage the Month End Close
- Manage Fixed Assets
- Oversee Payroll
- Bachelor's, or associate degree in accounting is required
- 10 years experience in government contracting
- 5 to 7 years in management and managing a team
- Costpoint Experience preferred
- Legal U.S. citizenship, with ability to obtain and maintain state and federal security clearances
- At least 21 years of age, with a valid driver's license and safe driving record
