Reports to Operations Manager

Job purpose

Work is performed with supervisor guidance and / or established practices to complete duties and responsibilities. Primarily responsible for obtaining needed clinical documents from hospital systems.

Duties and responsibilities

• Navigate hospital systems to locate and retrieve necessary documentation to include but not limited to Operative Reports, Anesthesia Records, Pre and Post Op Anesthesia Assessments and Regional Pain Block Notes. • Maintain log in credentials for each hospital system. 

• Identify, track and resolve trends in collaboration with Operational Departments and Client Manager. • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss pertinent issues, changes, and/or enhancements to the billing function. • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent 

• 1 – 2 years’ experience in a medical or professional data entry or clerical role 

• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) 

• Strong organization skills 

• Detail oriented 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; MS Word, MS Excel 

Physical Requirements

Physical ability to sit, talk, hear for extended periods throughout the work day; stand, walk, push/pull, bend, stoop, kneel and reach on a regular to seldom basis. Repetitive hand motions on a frequent basis including fingering, grasping and handling. Ability to read handwritten and typed documents on paper and/or on computer screens.
