We are seeking a talented Project Manager to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a background in architecture and experience in managing commercial projects, with the ability to interface effectively with our development and construction departments. As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of commercial projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the contractual deliverables of commercial architecture projects, including office, retail, and multifamily developments.
2. Interface with the development and construction departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to define project goals, scope, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client objectives and expectations.
4. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, and implement strategies to optimize project efficiency and profitability.
5. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to develop design concepts, construction documents, and specifications.
6. Oversee the bidding and procurement process, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality of workmanship.
7. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance, and address any issues or concerns in a proactive manner.
8. Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and closeout procedures, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and building codes.
9. Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to provide regular updates, address concerns, and facilitate decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
10. Identify and mitigate project risks, conflicts, and challenges, and implement appropriate solutions to ensure project success.
11. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project team, leveraging the expertise of the development and construction departments.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
2. Active architecture license in the State of Texas.
3. Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial architecture and project management.
4. Proven track record of successfully managing commercial projects from conception to completion.
5. Strong proficiency in project management software, Revit and Autocad software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
7. Knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
8. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
9. Experience with sustainable design principles and LEED certification is preferred but not required.
10. Flexibility to travel to project sites and attend meetings as needed.
