Cornerstone Detention Products is Hiring a Project Manager Near King of Prussia, PA

DESCRIPTION

The Project Manager is responsible for managing company equipment, personnel, and other resources within the project’s allotted budget and schedule.

Edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information. Knows when to send an email and/or make a phone call. Does not engage in "frivolous email wars" and has ability to stop them.
  • Planning/organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently
  • Quality control - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
  • Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Dependability-Consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 years of project management experience
  • 6 months or more accrued field installation experience
  • Microsoft Suite of Software, Microsoft Project, Adobe or Bluebeam, Timberline or similar accounting software; AutoCAD and Onscreen Takeoff considered a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of construction drawings and specifications
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
  • Valid Driver’s License

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contract administration including thorough reviews with accounting and project executives as well as continuous recognitions of both pitfalls and opportunities in working toward the company's best interest.
  • Prioritizes own and team's work. Anticipates consequences of actions, potential problems or opportunities for change.
  • Set and meet realistic deadlines. Build and maintain project schedules including bi monthly disbursement to the project team for each project.
  • Manage RFI process through and with Project Engineering team members.
  • Oversight and management of project documentation (i.e, criteria and compliance logs). Responsible for recognizing, maintaining and facilitating all job positions, descriptions and necessary "chains of command" within the project structure.
  • Together with the project superintendent, determine the quantity and types of human resources needed to maintain project schedule and budget.
  • Be the "face of the company", or a liaison with General Contractor, Architect, Owner and project team members on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for managing and conducting Constructability Reviews with members of the project team (field personnel and engineering).
  • With director of engineering, schedules and supports the processing and timely delivery and review of shop drawings and submittals (On occasion possesses the ability to generate submittals).
  • Responsible for compiling both change estimates and, on occasion, bids thru performance of quantity surveys and estimates.
  • Responsible for vendor/subcontractor buyout, facilitating the process between the vendor/subcontractor and Engineering and, ultimately purchase/release material after approved submittals.
  • Responsible for final draft and review of all PO's, Purchase Agreements and Subcontract Agreements.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of how to set up his/her project budget and manage it throughout the project accordingly.
  • Responsible for final approval of all invoices for his/her projects within (1) week of receipt. Responsible for updating weekly estimate final costs as well as managing monthly cash flow and cost reporting using Timberline or similar software.
  • Responsible for creating schedules of value, monthly billings and monthly billing reports to accounting.
  • With the project superintendent, manage labor production reporting throughout the course of the project.
  • Promote strict adherence to the company safety plan along with assisting in its implementation. Possess the ability to manage the Project Quality Control in terms of punch list oversight and/or development.
