Job Title: Periodontal Office Front Desk Receptionist

Job Description:

As a Periodontal Office Front Desk Receptionist at Corey Then, you will be the face of our practice, ensuring that patients have a warm and welcoming experience while efficiently managing the front desk and administrative tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include the following key duties:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Greeting: Warmly welcome patients and visitors to the practice, creating a positive and friendly first impression.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently schedule patient appointments, confirm upcoming appointments, and manage the appointment calendar.
  • Patient Registration: Collect and update patient information, including personal details, insurance information, and medical history.
  • Insurance Coordination: Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits and our financial policy.
  • Payments: Accept payments and manage financial transactions accurately.
  • Phone and Email Communication: Manage phone calls and emails, respond to patient inquiries, schedule requests, and address concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Patient Records: Maintain and organize patient records, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Check-In/Check-Out: Assist patients during check-in and check-out processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient visit.
  • Appointment Reminders: Send appointment reminders to patients via phone, email, or text.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the periodontal team and dental professionals to coordinate patient care and address administrative needs.

Requirements:

  • Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills to provide a welcoming and helpful experience to patients.
  • Organization: Excellent organizational skills to manage appointments, records, and administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using Dentrix, Google, and other office tools.
  • Detail-Oriented Data Entry: Attention to detail in handling patient information, billing, and records.
  • Insurance Knowledge: Understanding of dental insurance procedures and claims processing.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with patients and team members.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the periodontal team and other staff members.
  • Dental Experience: required
  • Dentrix Experience: highly preferred
