In conjunction with our manufacturing operations, our Innovation Center in Evanston, IL serves as a focal point for research and development, fostering creativity and innovation in product formulation.
JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE : The P&C Specialist will be responsible for the administration of the day to day operations of staffing functions and human resources duties for CoreFX Ingredients.
Functional responsibilties of the P&C Specialist include, but not limited to, payroll, compensation and benefits, open enrollment, recruitment and onboarding, training and development, performance management, and HRIS implementation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Human Resources Responsibilities :
Assist with implementing CoreFX Ingredients and Ornua HR policies, strategies, and systems
- Assist with monthly reporting, consisting of Total Cost Reports, Recruitment Trackers, HR Update presentations, and HRIS implementation
- Assist with conducting budget preparation for labor and administrative costs, including monthly true ups and projections
- Assist with administering Open Enrollment and New Hire company benefits. Assist employees with any requests, questions, or benefit concerns.
- Facilitate the implementation of HRIS / Employee Central to our location which will serve as our employee portal, housing all employee data and performance management information
- Train employees on the Employee Central system and communicate transition from previous HRIS
- Manage the Worker’s Compensation process which identifies key policy providers, courses of action, and documentation to remain compliant with Illinois and Federal reporting guidelines
- Manage and evaluate the costs of employee incentive programs
- Actively build and maintain relationships with local US communities and workforce development groups such as NIDA, Workforce Connection, and local universities to increase CoreFX awareness for recruitment and gain support for communities.
- Assist with creating job descriptions, aligning positions with budget and company need
- Manage and update orientation and onboarding needs, to enhance our employee experience
- Assist with developing, recommending and implementing policies. Ensure all policies and guidelines are effectively communicated and followed to ensure legislative compliance and alignment to company’s mission and strategy.
Update Employee Handbook as needed and communicate with team
- Assist with providing guidance to leaders and employees regarding employee relations and confidential matters
- Manage offboarding processes and exit interviews. Analyze reasons for leaving and adjust company strategy where needed
- Assist with implementation of Centrally HR system. Train employees on new system and provide on-going support
- Assist with Office Management duties in Orangeville; reception, event coordination, supply ordering, and other clerical duties
- Other responsibilities and tasks added as needed
