Job Description
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for ensuring inventory levels are maintained and monitored. The daily procedures involve entering and maintenance of reserves, forecasting, problem-solving to alleviate any inventory issues identified in reporting with support from the logistics, sales, production, product development and 3PL warehouse teams. Success in this role would see a well-turning inventory ratio, accurately maintained inventory and fully planned supply chains that are effectively communicated with the teams involved.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory reserves system: entering reserves requested by account managers, making sure accounts are holding desired levels of inventory for anticipated purchase orders and releasing inventory when needed
- Account forecast and inventory replenishment: review stock levels for each SKU, verify forecast accuracy and place reorder or release inventory if applicable
- Track in/out programs for specific accounts: connect with traffic team to ensure inventory arrives to our warehouses in a timely manner
- Coordinate with warehouses reworks needed for specific accounts: communicate with our 3PL warehouses to ensure customer projects are being completed in time to meet ship dates, order any materials needed for said projects
- Action and maintain systematic inventory adjustments for specific accounts so our ERP reflects accurate levels of inventory
- Research inventory discrepancies with warehouse and identifying causes of mismatch
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain data accuracy
Experience and Qualities
- 1-3 years of experience in similar inventory role
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
- Experience with EDI or ERP a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and great organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under strict deadline
- A team player
