Technical Manager Marine Engineer Job Summary
A well-established international shipping company headquartered in Midtown Manhattan is looking for an experienced Technical Manager with Marine Engineer's background.

Technical Manager Marine Engineer Responsibilities

• Support the HSQE Director in ensuring that the Company's Safety Management System is effectively implemented, maintained, and continuously improved in accordance with the latest regulations and best practices in the industry
• Analyze monthly reports submitted by the fleet ships
• Liaison with the technical department to ensure proper maintenance and repairs are performed by the ship's personnel
• Conduct internal ISM, ISPS, MLC audits and report findings as directed by the HSQE Director
• Support the HSQE director in development of procedures, forms, training materials and other documentation as needed
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective and preventives measures and the close-out of non-conformities in the internal and external audit findings.
• Perform training on board vessels related to internal & external audit findings and make sure the corrective and preventive actions are properly taken.
• Participate in maintenance of Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental statistics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

Technical Manager Marine Engineer Position Requirements

• Must have sailed as a chief engineer for minimum 2 years or first engineer for 3years on oceangoing bulkers and/or tankers with minimum 2years shore-based experience working as a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of ship's maintenance and planned maintenance system
• Must be proactive and a problem solver and troubleshooter
• Organized, systematic and detail-oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Must possess permanent legal working status in the US, TWIC and is able to travel internationally
