Job Posting: Direct Support Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals in learning and developing daily living skills and habits.
• Support individuals in taking care of their personal needs.
• Advocate for, encourage, guide, and teach individuals to express personal choices.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing direct care to individuals with disabilities.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Commitment to the caregiving process.

Position Details:

• Ongoing contract position with a 6-month initial commitment, offering increased pay and union benefits.
• Shift schedules vary (8am-3:30pm, 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-9am), ideally 5 days a week with 8-hour shifts.
• Locations include all 5 boroughs of New York City, Long Island, and Staten Island; Driver’s License required for Long Island and Staten Island assignments.
• Work will be at a specific facility with 6-8 residents, providing personalized care and support.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
