Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for the assigned properties
- Conduct monthly and quarterly financial analysis, comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes for the assigned properties
- Reconcile bank statements and perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of property-related transactions, including lease agreements, rent rolls, and property taxes
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for the properties
- Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Conduct periodic audits of property-related transactions and identify any discrepancies or issues
- Stay updated on industry regulations and accounting standards, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and real estate accounting practices
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) is a plus
