Title: Property Accountant
Pay Rate: $30.00 - $40.00/hour
Position Location: Washington, DC (On-site 4 days, Remote 1 day)
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Other: MRI experience is highly preferred
Property Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial reports
- Maintain records of company assets
- Prepare and ensure the accuracy of all ledgers, accounts, portfolios, and balance sheets
- Handle taxes, budgeting, payroll, and general monthly expenses
- Manage deposits and reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy of information concerning properties and tenants
Property Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
- Experience with commercial property accounting
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail is necessary
- Strong communication skills and analytical thinking are a must
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word required
- Experience in MRI Real Estate Software a plus
