- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor budget variances.
- Prepare and submit grant financial reports to funders and assist in grant compliance.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process.
- Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
- Work closely with program managers and other staff to provide financial information and support.
- Maintain a strong understanding of QuickBooks Online and provide training to staff as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit organization.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
