We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to work on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting year-end processing, running, and designing reports, and ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations. Proficiency in Workday and a strong background in payroll tax are essential for this role. Additionally, familiarity with running shadow payrolls will be considered a significant asset.
Responsibilities:

• Assist in year-end payroll processing and reconciliation.
• Run and design various payroll reports to support internal and external reporting requirements.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions.
• Maintain a deep understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to address payroll-related inquiries and issues.
• Utilize Workday to process payroll and troubleshoot any system-related challenges.
• Possess the knowledge and experience to handle shadow payrolls, if required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.
• Strong experience with Workday payroll processing.
• Ability to run and design reports to meet specific business needs.
• Familiarity with running shadow payrolls is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
