SUMMARY:

The Learning Resources Assistant assists with all aspects of library services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs the overall operation of the library service desk
• Assists faculty and students with locating and using resources effectively
• Assists with compiling statistical data regarding campus library services
• Assists with the processing of library and archive material
• Assists with interlibrary loan
• Provides technical assistance for library users
• Manages inventory of supplies
• Assists with coordinating library events and programming
• Answers routine directional and reference inquiries
• Communicates with other campus departments regularly
• Supervises work-study students
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Associate's Degree
• Minimum of one year of employment within a professional setting with demonstrated experience in customer service

• Minimum of one year of experience within a library setting

• The work environment is an office setting with moderate noise.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
