Furniture Sales Associate

Copeland Furniture manufactures high-quality, handcrafted wood furniture in the picturesque town of Bradford, Vermont. With a legacy spanning over four decades, we take pride in our commitment to sustainability, exceptional craftsmanship, and timeless design. We seek a dedicated Furniture Sales Associate to join our team and represent our brand in the Factory Outlet.

The Copeland Furniture Factory Outlet has been in business for over 25 years. The Outlet sells first- and second-quality furniture, including selected upholstery and mattress lines from other manufacturers. All collections of furniture are on display at the Factory Outlet. In addition to natural hardwood furniture for the bedroom, dining room, living room, and home office, the Outlet also carries American Leather upholstery and Magnaflex mattresses.

We serve customers in Northern New England and across the country not served by a Copeland Furniture Dealer. As part of our quality control efforts, each piece of furniture is carefully inspected before shipping. A piece that does not meet the first quality standards is designated second quality, available at a discounted price.

To help us reach the full potential of Factory Seconds customers, your role will be crucial in curating and nurturing relationships with prospective customers. You will utilize your communication skills, product knowledge, and passion for our brand to engage with potential customers, provide information, and assist them in making informed purchasing decisions.

The Sales Associate assists the Outlet Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Outlet—assistance in daily maintenance and upkeep of the Outlet, including pricing and signage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of Copeland Furniture's product catalog, materials, craftsmanship, finishes, and design aesthetics to convey their value effectively.
  • Customization: Assist customers in tailoring furniture orders to their preferences by explaining available options, finishes, and design choices.
  • Relationship Building: Build and nurture strong and lasting relationships with customers by providing exceptional service, addressing inquiries promptly, and offering personalized solutions.
  • Comprehensive customer service: In person, over the phone, and by email
  • Outreach: Initiate and maintain communication with potential customers through various channels, including email, phone calls, and virtual meetings.
  • Consultative Sales: Actively engage with potential customers, answer their questions, provide product recommendations, and guide them through the selection and customization process.
  • Sales Conversion: Work towards achieving and exceeding sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

High-end Furniture Sales, order entry and coordination, product inventory,
data entry, mailing lists, sales event preparation and product display.

  • Follow-up: Conduct timely follow-ups with leads to ensure a seamless sales process and address post-purchase inquiries.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate order processing, shipping, and customer support, ensuring a smooth customer experience.
  • Able to do moderate lifting, occasional heavy lifting
