Copeland Furniture is Hiring a Machine Operator (CNC) Near Bradford, VT

A solid and capable CNC machining foundation is a cornerstone of Copeland Furniture’s ability to manufacture high-quality furniture of exciting design. We make almost every part that goes into a piece of Copeland Furniture ourselves.

In this role, you will learn to set up and run multi-tool computer numeric controlled (CNC) machining centers and traditional woodworking equipment that produce the parts that make each piece of Copeland Furniture unique.

Prior CNC machining experience is helpful, although not required. We will teach you!

Become a part of this vital process and learn excellent skills at the same time!

Elements of the Job:

  • Set up and operate multiple CNC machining centers.
  • Validate set-up by ensuring part is made to the drawing. Make set-up changes as needed.
  • Complete secondary operations using traditional woodworking equipment (drilling, router work, and sanding).
  • Assemble furniture in a CNC-based assembly cell.
  • Prove out new parts/programs.
  • Conduct basic maintenance on CNC machinery.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in machine set-ups, jigs, and programs.
  • Support other areas of the Factory as needed.
  • Dependable, able to work 45 to 50 hours per week as required.

  • Self-motivated, consistently maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Willingness to - Learn other CNC machines - Operate more than one CNC at a time.
  • Willingness to complete secondary operations during the cycle - Drilling, assembly, sanding/prep, etc.
  • Curious, able to apply learning and find a better way. Continually asking, “Is the machine being used as efficiently as possible?”
  • Safe work habits. Care about machine cleanliness and upkeep.
  • Production mindset, always thinking about how to increase throughput.
  • Excellent problem solver.
  • Good math skills, comfortable with numbers.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent attendance history.

Job type & Compensation:

  • Full-time.
  • Hourly wage & Weekly pay.
  • Pay is commensurate with experience.
  • Weekly Bonus and Overtime opportunities.
  • 3 performance-based wage increases within 1st year.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,200.00 - $46,800.00 per year
