If you are a Mechanical Engineering Student looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, Ohio location, you will support engineering lab services to deliver the next round of industry leading test equipment. You will work with lab technicians, lab leadership, and engineering teams to develop new test equipment and software for the engineering test lab.
AS AN ENGINEERING LABORATORY CO-OP, RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO YOU:
- Creating and improving HMI software
- Supporting development and design of compressor performance test stands
- Creating and modify existing test equipment using Siemens NX software
- Working with Visual Studio Programming using C# and VP
- Working with PLC Programming using ladder logic and structured text
- Collaborating with and supporting Lab Operations Team as needed
WHO YOU ARE:

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Undergraduate Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Ability to work 40 hours a week during the scheduled semester
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Undergraduate Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Sophomore or higher class standing
- Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical and decision-making skills, and PC skills including Microsoft Office
- Previous Co-op or Intern Experience with Copeland or another company
- Reliable transportation- Sidney has multiple locations and will need own transportation for commuting
