Copeland Career Site is Hiring a Quality Technician - 2nd Shift Near Sidney, OH

If you are a QUALITY ASSURANCE professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our SIDNEY, OH location, you will support the daily activities of production. This is done by performing a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to, troubleshooting problems, gauge calibration and/or repair, setup and testing, auditing, and operator training. Along with process documentation maintenance, data analysis, and CMM programming.

 As A Quality Technician, You Will: 

  • Provide shop floor technical support for questions related to quality and manufacturing
  • Shop floor gauge troubleshooting, repair or replace
  • Ensure all gauges are functioning properly and up to date on calibration
  • Create, maintain and/or revise quality documentation (e.g., OMS’s, gauge instructions, work instructions, etc.)
  • Assist in nonconforming product disposition
  • Participate in internal audits to verify conformance to the quality standard
  • Create and/or edit CMM programming
  • Assist in identifying continuous improvement opportunities and the implementation of those improvements to the quality system

You are a quality-minded, customer-oriented individual who projects a can-do attitude. You identify opportunities for improvement and get down to the root causes when gathering information. When making decisions, you rely on experience, wisdom, analysis, and input from others.

Schedule:
The work schedule for this role is from 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Monday - Friday. This position is eligible for overtime and a shift differential on top of a base salary. 

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in Quality Systems
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledgeable in multiple gauging techniques and aspects 
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Teamcenter
  • Working knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal to effectively work with peers, managers, and hourly workforce
  • Ability to support periodic travel as needed.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Associates degree or three (3 ) years of relevant experience
  • ASQ Certification
  • CMM Programming and troubleshooting (PCDMIS software)
