Nurse Manager – Asheville

Location: Asheville, NC

CooperRiis is voluntary residential mental health treatment facility that does not work with detox situations, we are an unlocked facility, and we do not use restraints. We work with up to 22 residents, take a holistic approach to the work we do, and focus on the health and wellness of not only our residents, but staff too. We believe in the autonomy of our residents, building a community, and providing a strength-based approach for managing mental health challenges. Our small Nursing Team has the space to connect with residents, provide education, and individual support on their recovery journey.

Schedule: 

• Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

Pay: Starting at $72,000 per year and increases based on experience

*$5,000 Sign on Bonus

Responsibilities:

• Supervises the operations of the small nursing department- 5 nurses, 3 PRN nurses, 2 med admins
• Assures all procedures and practices are in compliance with state licensing standards, HIPAA, CooperRiis policy and procedure, and with the physical health needs of the residents.
• Responsible for hiring and training of new staff in the nursing office
• Provides clinical supervision to nursing staff
• Provides medication administration training, annual updates to staff
• Manages all functions of the nursing department: medication and supplement management, supervised medication administration, physical health monitoring, lab work, health/safety/substance screenings
• Responsible for overseeing the nursing office schedule and the nursing on-call schedule
• Participates in COVID planning, protocols, and response team
• Participating in rotating on call
• Serves as a member of the senior team and attend relevant team meetings

Qualifications:

• NC License as a Registered Nurse
• At least 5 years of nursing experience with at least 2 years of experience preferred working as a psychiatric nurse
• Supervisory experience
