The Senior Interior Designer (SID) is an advanced, leadership level role charged in part with establishing and maintaining the overall design direction and vision of numerous projects through a collaborative process with all levels of staff, throughout the entire lifecycle of the project. Working with the support of the Studio Principal/Director and/or the Studio manager, the Senior Interior Designer is responsible for designing, interpreting, organizing, advancing, coordinating, and executing complex projects, and will typically be responsible for producing multiple projects simultaneously. With a high degree of experience and knowledge of all phases of a project from programming, space planning, conceptualization, design, furnishing and finish selection, documentation, construction, and installation services the Senior Interior Designer is charged with not only designing and documenting projects at the highest level, but also with teaching, leading and elevating staff through a transfer of knowledge and experience that fosters growth and development.
In addition, this position requires the candidate to actively participate in local Interior Design/AEC relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to develop business while growing a network of new clients and project pursuits in the DC/VIRGINIA market.

May directly supervise Interior Designers to include training, leading, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance planning and aiding in problem resolution. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
