Ogury is looking to add a new in-house counsel to our Legal department. This role will be a valuable asset to our Americas business, where you will sit within the global legal team closely liaising with leadership and team members across the Sales, CS, Publishing (and more) departments.
You will be primarily focused on commercial, privacy and internal processes, but also strive to provide guidance across the Americas organization. You will strive to provide clarity and guidance to your internal stakeholders and deliver key deliverables with an eye for detail and goal to help define key legal terms and processes.
This Legal Counsel will manage their own matters to completion working with stakeholders as well as contributing to the broader betterment and development of Ogury's global Legal team.
This role will report to our General Counsel and will be based in one of our US offices (New York City, Boston, Chicago, Bentonville). This is a hybrid role with the expectation that you will be on-site 2-3 days per week.
What you will be doing

• Support Ogury's sales teams negotiate agreements with its clients including, drafting and advising on legal and contractual risk
• Manage drafting and negotiation of agreements with suppliers and other partners
• Keep up to date with changes to law, regulation and self-regulatory codes which may impact Ogury's business
• Ensure group policies relating to negotiation and approval of contracts, privacy and compliance are followed
• Support maintenance of Ogury contract templates working together with the rest of the Legal team and other stakeholders
• Provide legal advice on privacy, advertising and other relevant areas of law
• Managing disputes and liaising with external counsel where appropriate
• Giving presentations and training to the business on legal, policy and process issues
• Supporting corporate secretarial matters for subsidiaries in the Americas

What will make you stand out

• Active license to practice law in a jurisdiction and capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction (New York State)
• Strong knowledge of laws affecting technology, data privacy, and marketing
• Experience working in a multi-national business and within the digital advertising sector preferred

$165,000 - $200,000 a year
In compliance with US state specific Pay Transparency Acts, we strive to provide the same visibility towards compensation for our team's nationally.
The salary for the Legal Counsel role is: $165,000- $200,000 (USD) annually, in addition to annual variable compensation, dependent upon relevant experience and location.
