Deposition Solutions is Hiring a Senior Legal Recruiter Near Chicago, IL

SUMMARY: 

Lexitas, a rapidly growing legal services company, is seeking a Senior Legal Recruiter to join our Legal Talent Outsourcing Division. Through this division, Lexitas provides Interim Legal Staffing, Direct Hire Placements, Commercial Contracts Outsourcing and Document Review services to our law firm and corporate legal department clients.

The Senior Legal Recruiter is responsible for sourcing and qualifying lawyers and paralegals for placement into positions with law firms, in-house legal departments, on document review teams or within one of our managed services. This is a candidate-focused position which develops and maintains relationships throughout the recruiting life cycle, which includes recruitment, placement and throughout employment.

This is an ideal position for an experienced legal recruiter or a practicing attorney who is a people person that no longer wants to practice law but wants to stay within the legal industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Cultivate a good understanding of the legal industry, various practice areas, law firm and in-house legal department staffing and recruitment best practices, as well as the legal staffing solutions Lexitas provides.
  • Full lifecycle recruiting – source, identify, attract, screen, market and place attorneys and paralegals in various positions including interim legal placements, commercial contracts outsourcing, direct hire, and document review projects. 
  • Develop and maintain candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS). 
  • Ensure ATS data is accurate and up to date, follow recruitment core processes and workflow to ensure database compliance
  • Compliance with recruitment and employment laws.
  • Skill market candidates to clients and prospective clients.
  • Participate in Job Order Intake discussions to enhance understanding of client motivation, environment, culture, and the overall details of the Job Order to be filled.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates by engaging in a thorough interview and engaging in ongoing communication and information sharing.
  • Meet or exceed assigned targets and recruiting metrics, as assigned by the manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must show high attention to detail, good judgment, and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS preferred, and JD, a plus.
  • 2 years of high-level recruitment experience.
  • Proficient in using recruitment internet search tools, social media, applicant tracking system(s), database programs and job boards.
  • Legal recruiting experience and demonstrable knowledge of the legal industry is preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is not a supervisor position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers whose first language is English. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

License to practice law, a plus

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel is generally local during the business day but may include out of town travel; Total travel is expected to be less than 10%.
