Job Description

The role of a Human Resources Manager for Convergint Federal plays a crucial role in shaping and implementing HR strategies to support our business objectives. This position involves overseeing all aspects of human resources, from talent acquisition, payroll and employee relations to performance management and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of HR knowledge inside the Federal Contracting space, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a strategic mindset to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Lead the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Develop and implement effective hiring strategies to meet current and future staffing needs.

Employee Relations:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Address employee concerns and ensure fair and consistent application of company policies.

Performance Management:

  • Design and implement performance management processes to enhance employee development and productivity.
  • Provide guidance on goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement plans.

HR Policies and Compliance:

  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stay abreast of changes in labor laws and ensure company-wide compliance.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs for employees.
  • Support career development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Work directly with all department director to assist in overall personnel training and development programs.

Employee Benefits and Compensation:

  • Administer employee benefits programs (work with 3rd party administrator) and work with leadership on compensation strategies with compensation services such as ERI to remain competitive in the marketplace.
  • Ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.

HR Analytics and Reporting:

  • Utilize HR analytics to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Generate regular reports on HR metrics and present findings to leadership.

Other Duties: Other duties assigned within reason of current role previously specified.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a senior HR role minimum 5 years.
  • Certifications: Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills minimum of 5 years.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms such as UKG.
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations.

  • Must be literate in both spoken and written English. English shall be used in the conduct of business.
