Responsibilities

• Work with the Data Governance Manager in leading the implementation and maintenance of the Data Quality, Master Data Management, Reference data management and Data Catalog solutions.
• Work with Enterprise Architecture in defining data domains and metamodels.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with data owners and data stewards.
• Deliver and maintain metadata standards and procedures.
• Work with stakeholders to build business glossary in Alation.
• Work with stakeholders to build data quality rules.
• Conduct periodic reviews of the data catalog and data quality rules to ensure compliance with the data governance standards and policies.
• Participate in a variety of activities related to data governance, data strategy implementation, data modeling, data requirements, risk assessment, identification of data challenges, modeling, data manipulation, and requirement elicitation.
• Define and implement Data Governance metrics, track, and published results.
• Ensure that the data governance deliverables, e.g. policies, procedures, communications plans are properly documented in the appropriate tool and available to the enterprise.
• Document and implement the issue resolution processes, including reviewing issues and meeting with the data stewards and stakeholders to understand their needs and feasibility of the proposed options.
• Lead the Policies and Standards building and documentation.

Experience and skill requirement:

• Must have 8-10 years of metadata management experience including building catalog/ Business Glossary in Alation
• Must use strategic thinking in planning for data governance, metadata management, change management.
• Knowledgeable and experience with data management processes, metadata management, data stewardship, and data quality
• Knowledge of data information lifecycle management, data retention, data loss prevention, and regulatory compliances, including but not limited to GDPR, SoX, etc
• A self-starter with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication, collaboration, and consulting skills, ability to communicate across all levels of the organization (including internal and external stakeholders)
• Possesses effective analytical abilities in order to examine data, data models, business processes, and make recommendations on improvements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, accountability, written and verbal communication skills, and time management.
• Ability to work independently and deliver as a team member.
• Experience with implementation of financial data domains
• Regulatory reporting exposure

Salary: $108,000 - $172,000
