Our goal is to build a platform based on microservices, CICD, event driven architecture, automated testing, and observability, so that we effectively make increasing impact for our customers and our customers' customers.
We are looking for a forward-thinking engineer as our colleague with a strong detailed mind that will partner-up with Product to help build the next generation of international payments and financial services.
The role requires understanding of standard industry best practices and the drive to take solutions from ideation through implementation and into production.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team of engineering, data science, product management, infosec to deliver new platform capabilities that provide customer value
- Continually improve microservices and event driven architecture to drive Product Innovation
- Continually improve the codebase and application of best practices
- Own customer facing features from ideation, implementation, quality, and productionalization
- Drive Agile Methodologies of iterative improvements, retrospectives, timely deliverables
- Promote a Devops culture of collaboration and ownership of production systems
- Contribute to automated testing coverage
- Support a culture of efficient processes and strong transparency
About Ideal Candidate
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of developing scalable applications
- Experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka
- Experience in API design
- Knowledge in microservices, event driven architecture, relational and non-relational data stores, and AWS best practices
- Experience with Acceptance or Behavioral Testing methodology
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and interact efficiently with cross functional leaders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Desire to learn new technologies and ability to analyze the applicability of a technology in business context
- Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and other DevOps tools
- Experience supporting production customer facing applications with a global reach
- Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on data-driven decision making
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field
