Responsibilities:

  • Manage clerical personnel in the process of accounts payable
  • Directs the process of coding of invoices and the checking of prices, quantities, and extensions
  • Oversee the input of vouchers into financial accounting system
  • Plan and coordinate the work assignments and review work of subordinates
  • Oversee the reconciliation of vendor statements
  • Manage the reconciliation of clearing accounts
  • Handle vendor inquiries and address vendor payments, credits, etc.
  • Oversee check run selections
  • Print checks
  • Train all employees in accounts payable
  • Propose journal entries to General Accounting
  • Manage year end audit related to A/P
  • Manage year end A/P archiving process
  • Verify all invoices to insure that all charges are properly approved and reasonable
  • Protect the interest of CRI and insure that CRI is getting good value for goods and services
  • Coordinate with purchasing regarding cost errors, line item issues with purchase orders
  • Interact with vendors to address credit line issues. Works to establish the proper credit lines and payment terms
  • Coordinates payment processing of electronic invoices received from its vendors
  • Interface with MIS department regarding SAP issues directly affecting accounts payable

Qualifications:

Education:

  • BA/BS Degree

Experience:

  • 5-7 years experience in Accounts Payable
  • 2 years of managerial/supervisor experience

Skills:

  • Clear communication, both written and verbal
  • Ability to deal with problems and issues
  • Interact with all levels of the company
  • Use SAP system to navigate, determine and resolve problems

Training:

  • SAP Sales and Distribution Module
  • SAP General Ledger
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
