The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add a skilled, well-networked and experienced Director of Catering to our Constellation team at The Philadelphia Museum of Art in Philadelphia, PA. As a Director of Catering, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic sales development and leadership to the unit. Through leading and managing the Catering Sales Managers and Coordinators of the assigned business unit, the Director of Catering ensures the highest level of client and guest satisfaction, meets budgeted sales expectations, and fosters employee engagement and financial performance for assigned business unit. The Director of Catering accepts and retains full accountability for the business units’ performance against sales performance targets and ensures continuous improvement in the execution of the business units’ catering and events.
In addition, this role is responsible to work independently to sell and produce larger events in varied market segments. This role will work both independently to fully manage the sales process and work closely with the Event Management and Services teams in the sales, administration, execution and production process’ of events. The Senior Director of Catering will attend, execute and manage events as needed.

Compensation: $95,000 plus Commission

What you'll be doing:

• Providing strategic leadership to the unit sales team to ensure the success of revenue goals, including guiding and supporting unit sales, event planning and execution, and by personally representing the company.
• Develops and ensures business performance against company sales standards and metrics, including: budgeted sales goals; event profitability; guest/client satisfaction; employee engagement; revenue & profitability; and safety & sanitation standards. Effectively guides the assigned units in achieving sales objectives.
• Constantly evaluates market conditions and performs competitive analysis and partners with fellow company leaders in implementing sales building strategies to achieve revenue goals. Continuously explores and implements sales building and profit improvement solutions to ensure the appropriate investment of capital and shareholder returns.
• Maintains a superior understanding of food and beverage standards; guides and protects the food, beverage and service experience, constantly exploring the latest trends and opportunities for program growth and evolution.
• Builds and sustains positive relationship with all stakeholder communities, including employees, clients, guests, partners, shareholders and the community in which we operate. Serves as an ambassador of CCG and Elior NA to all stakeholder groups.
• Regularly network to increase notoriety and buzz surrounding events at venue
• Work with sales and marketing team in creating blitz or sales initiatives, in conjunction with unit leader
• Work with Marketing team to ensure all collateral is up to date, create promotional events to drive revenues etc..
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends as they evolve, and share these with the team
