Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to contribute to Connors Group’s growth as a leader in productivity, workforce management, system implementation, and operational excellence in the retail, supply chain, healthcare, and service industries.

The IT Manager is responsible for leading and managing the overall information technology strategy and operations to support our scaling business. This includes the implementation and maintenance of company software and networking systems, as well as the management of third-party service providers.

Duties and responsibilities

• Works with leadership to define overall IT strategy and prioritize IT initiatives
• Leads the management of external technology vendors
• Assesses and communicates risks associated with IT investments
• Oversees the development, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all current and future IT systems
• Monitors and tracks technology vendor performance
• Oversees the security strategy to ensure employee and client data is being protected and security policies are being followed
• Responsible for completing client vendor security questionnaires
• Develops, tracks, and controls IT annual operating budgets
• Serves as the primary point of contact for all IT related issues and handles business critical IT tasks and system administration
• Works with leadership to align IT projects with company goals and objectives
• Develops, documents, and implements IT policies and procedures
• Monitors internal controls and security procedures to safeguard company data and technology assets
• Maintains hardware and software inventory to ensure appropriate levels of inventory are available for employees
• Researches and evaluates emerging technologies, hardware, and software
• Analyzes processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement
• Prepares cost-benefits analyses when upgrades are necessary, and monitors vendors to ensure that they are offering the best-possible service and value for business needs
• Troubleshoots issues and provides technical support as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field
• Five or more years of experience in managing IT operations
• Prior experience managing a third-party service provider is preferred
• Experience handling inventory, leases, imaging, and deployment for Windows and iPads
• Familiarity with our software platforms including Microsoft 365, JumpCloud, Egnyte, HubSpot, WordPress, and SAP
• Experience implementing systems and service integrations in a growth organization
• Strong knowledge of industry standard computer hardware and software systems
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Thorough understanding of IT infrastructure
• Strategic thinker with strong knowledge of the latest technologies

Working conditions

• Must be able to work in a Hybrid environment. Employee may need to come into the office some days, while other days may be authorized to work remotely
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Evening and weekend work as needed to resolve issues
• Must be able to lift and carry 10 – 15 pounds at times
