Connelly Partners is Hiring a Senior Media & Marketing Performance Analyst Near Boston, MA

SENIOR MEDIA & MARKETING PERFORMANCE ANALYST

Analytics Department Mission

The Connelly Partners Data & Analytics team partners with its clients and agency co-workers to help answer three fundamental questions: what happened? so what? and what’s next? Our answers to these questions are rooted in and driven by data. As such, we are experts in leveraging data to measure media and marketing results, analyze trends and relationships, and identify opportunities for improving campaign and business performance over time. Ultimately, we believe data itself is not a competitive differentiator, rather how a company makes its data actionable that will determine its competitive advantage.

Job Purpose

As the Senior Media & Marketing Performance Analyst, you will lead analytic strategy, measurement planning, dashboard development, performance reporting, actionable analysis, and optimization recommendations on behalf of clients.

Responsibilities include defining measurement plans and ensuring all KPIs, secondary metrics and dimensions are clearly and explicitly aligned with client business and campaign objectives, specifying tracking requirements (including the oversight of campaign taxonomies, naming conventions and standards, data/metric definitions, etc.), coordinating the configuration of data connectors with media and data engineering team so all required campaign data can be efficiently ingested and modeled, building reporting dashboards and performance visualizations, collaborating with analytics and media team members on ensuring high-quality deliverables, deriving insights from data-rich environments and contributing to recommendations for optimizing omni-channel media and marketing performance over time.

Your insights and recommendations will be assembled in partnership with a cross-functional team including media planners, paid media platform specialists (e.g., paid search, paid social, programmatic display, etc.), organic social and influencer marketing specialists, SEO, and digital strategy.

This role is client facing and requires both a broad and deep understanding of media channels and full-funnel performance measurement, as well as an ability to confidently present performance results, trends, and recommendations to client marketing teams and executives.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of client business and marketing goals and an ability to articulate how campaign objectives and tactics align with them
  • Develop comprehensive measurement strategies and plans (business media website CRM) that serve as playbooks for full-funnel campaign tracking configuration, performance reporting and in-depth analysis and recommendations
  • Build effective data visualizations and dashboards that help to bring performance results and trends to life in an easily digestible manner
  • Assemble and present compelling analysis (i.e., the ‘what’ and the ‘why’), optimization recommendations, testing ideas and hypotheses, etc.
  • Understanding of best practices and partner capabilities as it relates to brand lift studies, media attribution, incrementality, foot traffic measurement, a/b testing, benchmarking, forecasting, etc.
  • Broad knowledge of macro media and marketing trends (e.g. cookie depreciation, server-side tagging, CRM and marketing automation, artificial intelligence, etc.), as well as an appetite for actively monitoring and sharing new developments with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Ability to effectively and confidently organize and lead analytic-related activities, timelines, deliverables, etc. as part of an integrated agency team
  • Partner with data engineers and analytic solutions team members to effectively integrate data from disparate sources, specify data update schedules, etc. in order to generate holistic reporting and analysis that meets or exceeds all client requirements
  • Ensure accuracy of all key metrics and trends - provide regular QA and QC of ingested data and work with media and data teams, as needed, to troubleshoot and resolve data issues
  • Assist in developing new processes and methodologies for effectively capturing, integrating, and reporting on campaign performance
  • Adhere to the agency’s financial policies (including, but not limited to timesheets, expense reports, estimates, purchase orders, proformas, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and collaborative - ability to effectively work across agency departments
  • Strong verbal and written communication - ability to present ideas and insights to both internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiasm for media and marketing performance measurement and analysis
  • BA/BS degree 3-4 years professional experience analyzing media and marketing performance data
  • Direct experience with a broad range of digital media types (e.g., paid search, paid social, programmatic, video/audio streaming, etc.) and the relevant data and performance metrics that get extracted from each
  • Hands-on expertise in web analytics and website tracking platforms (Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics)
  • Deep knowledge and experience with data visualization and reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker Studio, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with a/b and multivariate testing methodologies for websites (e.g., creative testing, landing page optimization)
  • Ability to knowledgably discuss macros media and marketing trends and demonstrate a compelling POV on potential implications and impacts on clients, best practices, etc.
  • US Citizenship. Connelly Partners is unable to sponsor visas at this time.
