Congreso De Latinos Uni is Hiring a Workforce Specialist, FHS Near Philadelphia, PA

The Workforce Specialist will support housing clients who have difficulty finding long-term, sustainable employment by building workforce skills and securing jobs. The Specialist will support clients with navigating barriers to employment including, but not limited to, low educational attainment, lack of employment history, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health or substance abuse challenges, and lack of childcare. The Specialist would work with the clients one-on-one and in group sessions to build skills and place clients in programs and/or jobs that will lead to long-term stability. The Specialist will work closely with all Housing Stability clients to create job referral packets that include goal planning, resumes, cover letters, and any other document needed for training or employment. The position will work with the housing case management team and Congreso’s Education & Workforce division managers to generate continuing education, workforce training, and employment placement opportunities. The goal of this position is to be the bridge between clients with housing instability and stable employment.

This position reports to the Housing Stability Manager. This position is expected to operate in-person with hybrid flexibility upon supervisors' approval. The onsite location will be at 216 W Somerset St. There is a 30 day on-site training period for this position.

Minimum Experience, Education, and Qualifications

Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED/HISET required.

Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of experience in employment and training, marketing, or any business related field.
