Summary
Responsible for managing the daily operations of the dedicated service business and ensuring that legendary customer service is provided to our dedicated group of customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operations:
* Coordinate driver utilization to ensure that all required services are provided. This may include recruiting drivers, juggling schedules, and renting drivers.
* Manage all equipment to ensure daily power and trailer needs are met.
* Communicate with customers to coordinate logistics services as needed.
* Perform on-call duties for customers.
* Communicate with drivers.
* Develop and implement delivery and pickup routes.
* Perform ride a longs with drivers to include security checks, safe driving, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
* Monitor and manage Tele Nav tracking systems and Yard View.
* Assign and assist in obtaining backhauls.
* Ensure drivers have necessary licenses/endorsements/Fed Med card, etc.
* Audit driver logs for accuracy and available hours.
* Assist drivers when breakdowns occur.
* Collect and maintain transportation reports.
* Coordinate with safety department on all accidents and injuries.
* Prepare and audit driver payroll.
* Manage driver safety program.

Equipment Management:
* Schedule all equipment for preventative maintenance. Ensure equipment meets (DOT) federal and state requirements.
* Manage mileage and repair data to ensure efficient maintenance and repairs. This should be done under the supervision of the Safety and Maintenance Manager.
* Communicate with Operations Managers/ Facility Managers as to abuses of the equipment.
* Manage daily breakdowns and repairs as necessary to ensure quality service is still provided to the customer.
* Ensure all damage is reported in a timely manner while properly utilizing proper accident reports.

All employees have a responsibility to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
