Overview

We're on the lookout for a Territory Manager for Municipal Equipment Sales to drive our expansion across New Jersey. This role centers on promoting our reliable and efficient street sweepers to municipalities, state entities, and contractors, aiming to enhance urban environments and operational efficiency. Ideal candidates will excel in conducting equipment demonstrations both independently and, when necessary, with the assistance of a demo operator/mechanic to effectively showcase our products' functionality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead sales initiatives throughout New Jersey, targeting new opportunities within municipalities and the contractor sector.
  • Deliver compelling equipment demonstrations, capable of adapting your approach to either operate solo or alongside a demo operator/mechanic based on the demo's requirements.
  • Use your understanding of industry needs and mechanical concepts to discuss product features, advantages, and maintenance protocols with potential clients, fostering interest and trust.
  • Strategically plan and execute sales efforts, employing CRM tools for meticulous lead management, customer engagement, and sales tracking.
  • Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to provide feedback from the field, driving continuous product refinement and innovation.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Established track record in sales within the industrial, construction, or heavy machinery sectors, with a focus on serving municipal and contractor markets.
  • Versatile in conducting sales demonstrations, showcasing an ability to effectively present both independently and with technical support as needed.
  • Proficient in utilizing CRM platforms to streamline the sales process, coupled with strong organizational and follow-up capabilities.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge or a willingness to acquire it, enabling competent discussions on technical aspects of equipment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for engaging diverse stakeholders and cultivating durable relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred.
