The Operations Manager is responsible for providing operational oversight and direction in all aspects of the janitorial services contract. Experience

  • 4 years in a management level position

  • Oversight of 50 employees in service-based industry
  • Budget management of at least $1M annually

Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university (preferred)
  • RBSM Certification, or willingness to earn within 12 months of hire
  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to strategize and plan to meet short-term and long-term initiatives
  • Ability to adapt and resolve issues quickly
  • Understand Budgets, P&L and General Ledgers
  • Standard Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Effectively communicate up to executive levels and down to front-line cleaning staff verbally and in writing
  • Able to lead by example, expertise, and delegation
  • Ability to see issues before they happen and put plans in place to prevent problems
  • Knows how to motivate and keep subordinate staff accountable
  • Ability to create cleaning schedules, periodic schedules and schedules for additional services
  • Ability to delegate tasks appropriately to supervisors and support staff to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Ability to learn and use electronic devices effectively including new software programs, mobile applications, and technological devices

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Act as an ambassador for company values and philosophy
  • Implement and maintain all necessary programs to achieve Corporate Mission and goals
  • Will work in close contact with the on-sight directors and clients in achieving long-term successful relationship with clients
  • Supervise, facilitate and coordinate key personnel and technical/operational processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Provide daily administrative oversight of the project including all internal business functions: budgeting, accounting, human resources, facilities support and equipment
  • Identify problems and solutions to ensure that customer needs are met. Foster problem resolution across core team by deciphering relevant and important facts and information to drive tangible solutions
  • Deliver instructions in a clear, concise manner, providing backup materials and documentation when necessary
  • Perform quality audits and inspections to specifications
  • Ensure contractual requirements are met
  • Provide reports to and coordinate with supervisors to ensure proper corrective actions are taken
  • Manage the online quality control management system
  • Maintain reports and inspection documentation; present findings, reports, and program summary in formal meeting with client each quarter
  • Demonstrate high energy, mobility, initiative, and drive to enhance operations and achieve financial and organizational success
  • Travel occasionally to support corporate needs and attend functions
