Job Summary

The Shop Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing equipment in the shop.

Essential Functions

• Must be capable of removal and installation of components
• Understand and utilize various exchange items and evaluate price of exchange vs. cost of repair (company will train their process)
• Safely and properly operate and inspect machines, vehicles, and/or engines to diagnose defects (company will train their process)
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all components of equipment including but not limited to engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generation, and electrical codes (company will train their process)
• Formally document work (company will train their process)
• Secure and maintain appropriate licensing (company will cover costs)
• Maintain good work habits and comply with all safety and company regulations

Qualifications

• Technician experience with forklifts preferred but not required
• Will consider mechanical or electrical experience
• Attention to detail
• Maintains good work habits and presents a favorable business image towards customers
• Must have own tools
• Good driving record
• Excellent customer service/communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Compensation, Benefits, Other

• Base pay range up to $35 per hour, based on experience

• Position is full-time, M – F, 40 hours
• Shop is in Austin, TX
