About the Role
The Senior Counsel at the company is a pivotal, strategic, and cross-functional role that encompasses a wide range of general corporate legal responsibilities. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing legal services to various in-house clients, with a primary focus on the corporate development and finance teams. This includes supporting M&A activities, legal entity consolidation, corporate governance, and procurement matters. The role also involves overseeing corporate governance policies for numerous legal entities, supporting post-acquisition integration, and conducting due diligence for M&A transactions. The Senior Counsel will be expected to have a strong background in general corporate legal work, experience in software or high-technology industries, and the ability to handle international transactions.Applicants for the Senior Counsel position must have strong academic credentials, a law degree, and be licensed to practice law in at least one US State or admitted in a European jurisdiction. A minimum of 8 years of experience in both law firm and in-house legal positions is required, with a focus on M&A. Experience in international law and transactions is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a proven team player, consensus builder, and a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills. The role demands the ability to manage multiple projects, critical deadlines, and conflicting demands in a fast-paced environment.
