About the Role
The Company is seeking a Sr. Counsel with a focus on Privacy and Cybersecurity to join their legal team. This role is pivotal in supporting the organization's mission to enable a life outside for everyone by providing legal expertise and leadership on issues related to privacy, personalization, cybersecurity, and technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and advising on legal and regulatory requirements in these areas, supporting compliance efforts, and serving as a trusted advisor to the technology, e-commerce, and cybersecurity teams. Additionally, the role involves drafting and negotiating relevant agreements, managing privacy program operations, and proactively tracking industry trends and legal developments.Applicants must have at least 10 years of experience in a highly respected law firm or in-house corporate environment, with a J.D. and active Bar membership. A CIPP/US or similar privacy certification is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in client counseling, with litigation experience being a plus, and must demonstrate essential leadership attributes such as strategic thinking, integrity, and the ability to build open and influential relationships. Experience in retail, consumer, or experiential/hospitality business is also valued. The Sr. Counsel will play a key role in the company's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and will be expected to contribute to the success of the organization by leading or assisting with other projects as needed.
