About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel with a strong background in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) matters to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with the EPC and Finance teams from the pre-construction phase through to commercial operation. This role involves negotiating financeable agreements, supporting risk mitigation measures, and ensuring compliance with existing financing agreements and investment tax credit eligibility requirements. The Senior Corporate Counsel will also provide construction law guidance, identify and advise on risks, and support ITC compliance. Additionally, the role includes resolving legal disputes, providing legal advice to management, leading legal training, and overseeing the drafting of legal documents.Applicants must have a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree (JD) from an accredited law school, be licensed to practice law in California, New York, Texas, or any state in the US, and have at least 10 years of legal experience. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of renewable energy and battery storage project implementation, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously. Proficiency in MS Office tools and the ability to think creatively and strategically are also required. The role demands a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to build consensus, and a proven track record of promoting collaboration.
