International freight forwarder and based in California

Role: Will be responsible for managing the overall ocean export and import operations and procurement.

Responsibilities:

• Manage overall export and import operations.
• Develop, implement and continuously strengthening sea freight forwarding operational procedures (import and export).
• Lead negotiation of rates and contracts with sea carriers.
• Collaborate with sales functions to execute business plan targets.
• Build and maintain long term relations with clients.
• Oversee compliance with Customs, laws and regulations for importing and exporting.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an seafreight management position.
• Strong knowledge of command of documentation, procedures and rules for sea transportation.
• Experience with CargoWise required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Dedication to high quality customer service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
