Job description

Our company has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Technician!

We have over 20 years of experience helping companies meet their quality objectives. Working with us means you are impacting quality in important ways. Our work ensures safety and performance for products across industries. We provide these services for manufacturers across North America.

The Quality Technician oversees the quality inspector team. The Quality Technician works in production facilities and customer locations to make sure that products being produced or sold meet the expectations of our customers. The Quality Technician examines materials to make sure they meet the provided quality standards and expectations, and then records the inspection results in our company database. The Quality Technicians may also follow up with the appropriate customer channels when repairs are completed, or rejects are found.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Inspect using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring features, and examining functionality.

· Record inspection results by completing reports (summarizing parts: good, repaired, and rejected) and inputting data into Dot.

· Follow standards and workflow for the inspection process.

· Work with customers or supervisors to understand provided work instructions.

· Communicate effectively and often with other team members.

· Adhere to work site rules and guidelines

· Any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization’s Values

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Supervisory skills

· Communication skills

· Keen eye for detail

· Smart Device literacy (Cell phone, tablet)

· Familiarity with technology; some experience with MS Office Suite

· Project Tracking System

· Ability to consistently identify mistakes across thousands of inspections

· Ability to closely follow quality standards

· Decision-making skills as in acceptable / not acceptable features

· Ability to travel to multiple customer facilities

· Ability to properly use basic measuring devices preferred: Calipers, Micrometers, etc.

· Ability to read engineering drawings preferred

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or GED.

· Previous quality assurance experience.

· Three years manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift, up to 50 pounds at times.

· Ability to stand for a minimum of eight hours a day.

· Must be able to access various departments of a given location.

· Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

· Visual acuity necessary to perform a given task.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
