Five Star Plastics is Hiring a Quality Technician - 1st Shift Near Eau Claire, WI
Five Star Plastics, Inc., a manufacturer of injection molded products for a wide variety of customers, is looking for a Quality Technician to join our team! In this role, you would be responsible for performing tests and inspections to ensure products meet quality specifications, assuring the quality of assemblies and individual components, and performing dimensional layouts of parts; all while working within our ISO-9001 / AS-9100 Quality Management System.
Our ideal candidate will enjoy understanding why things work the way they do. ASQ certification is a plus!
Duties:
- Verify acceptable product at start up
- Monitor product during entire production for compliance
- Inform Operators of changing conditions or expectations
- Instruct Operators on proper methods and procedures
- Verify all visual and dimensional inspections are in accordance with inspection plans
- Ensure all paperwork is completed for each job
- Maintain order of files and records
- Create Certification of Compliance forms
- Any other duties as required by manager
Qualifications:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Utilizing and reading of both digital and dial inspection equipment
- Use standard quality equipment, i.e. gage blocks, plug gages, etc.
- Basic Statistical Process Control (SPC) - desirable
- Operate Optical Comparator - desirable
- Operate CMM - desirable
- Operate Vision System - desirable
- Capabilities Studies - desirable
- Gage R&R Studies - desirable
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suites
