Confidential is Hiring a Quality Manager Near Stockton, CA

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will plans, coordinates, and directs all quality functions. Establish and implement quality standards to meet all regulatory, customer or internal requirements. Manage and train employees in the quality department. Manage and write all required documents, reports, quality management system(s) requirements, etc. Lead and ensure compliance with all aspects of established and required quality management systems. Work with company team on regulatory, customer and internal needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulates and maintains quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals. Maintains, creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Ability to perform all standard quality testing performed at the company.
  • Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel in organization.
  • Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Provides inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
  • Applies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department.
  • Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
  • Works with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts for company use.
  • Creates and directs environmental test functions.
  • Plays active role on quality management teams within organization.
  • Designs and implements quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
  • Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality.
  • Understands and executes company policy for managers in areas including, but not limited to, safety, harassment and discrimination, quality and fiscal responsibility.
  • Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff in conjunction with HR.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Be able to use and operate various types of testing equipment and machines, forklifts, mixers and personal computer.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving. Is able to utilize this logic and propose innovative applications, processes, and products.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing, inventory control and project management.
  • Project Management and Leadership skills including managing projects, people, and resources. Can plan, present, execute, and track project and personnel progress. Is comfortable delegating when appropriate. Must track and control project costs and budgets as established.
  • Strong and effective communication skills including the following areas: oral, written, group presentations, employee reviews, and customer interaction. Must be able to communicate and train any number of persons concerning company processes and applications.
  • High ethical standards, dependability, strategic thinking, and high initiative guide all work with a focus on safety, security, and quality in all tasks.
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree/technical certificate in a scientific field or a minimum of five-year’s experience in a quality laboratory setting or a combination of applicable education/experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen or have authorization to work in the US.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, simple grasping with both hands, and reaching with hands and arms below shoulder level for short to moderate lengths of time.
  • Perform work on a computer/laboratory equipment for hours at a time, multiple times a day.
  • Lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Work near moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
  • Work in areas with loud noise for short durations.
  • Normal work environment has moderate noise.
  • Work may be indoors or outdoors, depending on the job assignment. Exposure to dust and marked changes in temperature and humidity is expected. Must be certifiable for respirator use.
  • Ability to walk on uneven ground (outdoors) is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
