POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Supervisor's primary responsibilities are to direct, organize, and oversee the Quality Assurance team. You will help the Company to achieve its mission to improve the world by making fresh fruits and vegetables easy.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

  1. Sets schedules for QA techs to align responsibilities with resources
  2. Monitors production area for GMPs, food safety, and good housekeeping
  3. Ensures QA documentation and facility are prepared at all times for customers, regulatory, and third-party audits
  4. Leads the inspection of production, processes, warehouse, and other operational areas
  5. Follows and enforces safety policies in the department and facility
  6. Sets up, monitors, and documents CCP verification
  7. Ensures quality policies, programs, and procedures are followed on the production floor, including hold program, shelf-life retention, knife program, weight control, daily QA shift reports, glass & brittle plastics register and inspections, etc.
  8. Reviews and ensures accuracy on pre-op, CCP, and daily quality documentation. Signs off all required documentation within 24-48 hrs.
  9. Establishes metrics for performance measurement for QA techs
  10. Assigns, facilitates, follows up, and communicates regarding QA team projects
  11. Monitors, maintains, and orders all QA chemicals and supplies
  12. Schedules, leads, and summarizes regular QA team meetings
  13. Ensures pre-op inspections are completed and documented
  14. Ensures metal detectors are set up, monitored, and documented properly and accurately
  15. Follows up on customer complaints and quality issues with complete and accurate communications and corrective actions
  16. Sends weekly reports regarding QA responsibilities such as accomplishments, projects, CCP issues, results, overtime, etc.
  17. Communicates problems or concerns with management
  18. Technical resource for QA and Production including problem-solving and critical thinking
  19. Promotes a positive attitude and spirit of cooperation with all employees
  20. Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Required:

  • 2 years of supervisory and/or quality assurance experience

Required Knowledge:

  • Knowledgeable of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Skills/Abilities:

  • Smart Phone/Tablet Competency
  • Ability to work within a multi-department team
  • Able to work evenings and weekends
  • Standing/walking for the duration of the shift minus breaks
  • Typical reaching, lifting, & bending

WORKING CONDITIONS

Variable inside temperatures, including extreme cold (temperatures at about 32 degrees).
