Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Associate to join our team. The Purchasing Associate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods, materials, and services to ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with vendors the purchasing of raw materials for various needs, including Drop Ship Orders, Inventory Reorders, and Work Orders.
• Enter data into computer system, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Update and manage ship dates for all orders, ensuring timely delivery.
• Create purchase orders and manage PO from inception through delivery
• Oversee vendor performance, providing feedback to address any issues.
• Handle inventory transfers
• Participate in inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Keep track of orders and deliveries
• Process purchase orders and expedite shipments in a fast-paced industry to ensure that deliveries are made in a timely matter
• Expedite PO's as necessary
• Build relationships with current vendors and research new vendors

Skills:

• Proficiency in supply chain management systems
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms
• Experience in contract management and vendor relations
• Ability to fabricate effective procurement strategies
• Knowledge of logistics and procurement best practice
• Strong communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
