The Position

The Production Manager is responsible for the overall safe and efficient operation of the manufacturing facility to include, but not limited to, personnel, production, maintenance, customer requirements/interface, planning and scheduling, safety, and housekeeping. In addition, the Production Manager serves as a key member of the management leadership team, which coordinates policies, manufacturing personnel requirements for the division.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing workforce.
• Manage daily production work orders from raw materials to build to delivery scheduled timeframe.
• Motivate and engage employees to work in a positive and productive manner.
• Execute on continuous improvement projects that improve production efficiencies (equipment, processes and employee)
• Enforce and adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHA standards.
• Ensure finished goods meet customer instructions and quality standards.
• Communicate and train production employees.
• Manage and plan the proper shipment of finished goods, as well as accurate receiving and inventory management.
• Responsible for the overall Health and Safety of production workers and anyone on the production floor
• Responsible to plan and oversee equipment and building maintenance.
• Proactively filter designs and coordinate with the design team to ensure excellence in quality.

Your Profile

• Technical degree or diploma preferred: trades, mechanical engineering, or equivalency in education and experience.
• 2 years of experience supervising/managing in a manufacturing, environment.
• Experience managing and engaging employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading engineered drawings and ISO9001/14001 considered a major asset.
