Position Summary:
Directs and coordinates activities concerned with production of company product(s) by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Confers with management personnel to establish production standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
2. Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
3. Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, materials and quality activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
4. Reviews and analyzes production, maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with production performance requirements.
5. Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality while providing for a safe working environment.
6. Requests production schedule changes and priority changes as a result of equipment failure or operating problems.
7. Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
8. Develops and implements improvements in production operations, achieving productivity improvements.
9. Provide a clean, safe work environment using 5S philosophies.

*This position requires regular on-time attendance as outlined by Human Resources or your supervisor(s). The position also requires the ability to work independently or in a team setting. You will be expected to accept direction from your supervisor, management and subordinate personnel and to work amicably and productively with co-workers.

Additional Position Information/Details:
Education: Four-year college degree or a demonstrated equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years manufacturing experience, including experience in two or more areas such as production, engineering, quality, or materials management, along with supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
Skills: Knowledge of ISO 9000 elements, the plant value management system, Lean manufacturing, Kanban programs, 5S systems, and similar manufacturing initiatives. Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
