Job Summary:
We are a rapidly growing aerospace company, seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Production Planner/Scheduler. The Production Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and managing the production planning process, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and resources to meet customer demand. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of supply chain management, and experience with production planning systems.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring proper planning, scheduling, and execution of shop orders to help ensure efficient parts flow and material through the shop and that proper part traceability is maintained along with monitoring queue and lead times and develops plans to reduce and improve.
  • Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. Recommends changes to improve the planning process for assigned products.
  • Prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts to support a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
  • Coordinates material movements between internal work and storage areas and/or outside processing or suppliers to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of moving orders and/or stock transfers to meet customer shipping dates.
  • Identify and solve problems in and out of immediate work area independently and ensure materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels
  • Applies continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Applies continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems. Complies with policies and procedures in Government/Commercial Practices Manual (GPM/CPM).

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS: Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident.
  • Education: Associate degree, Equivalent Degree, bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the aerospace/aviation industry (preferred)
  • Excellent in Computer skills like Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Project and Power Point, excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and materials specifications preferred.
  • Understand and execute policies and procedures related to planning and scheduling.
  • Excellent problem-solving & continuous improvement skills, analytical, multi-tasking
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. without restriction.
