We are a boutique medical billing and collections company that is searching for an experience PHARMACY BILLER & COLLECTOR to join our team. This is a full-time and fully remote position. Pay is $18-$20/hr, DOE. We are looking for candidates to interview and start immediately.

***YOU MUST HAVE PHARMACY EXPERIENCE. YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH NJ MVA/PIP.***

You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. Your role will involve working with medical records, coding systems, and various billing software to process claims and invoices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding practices, and medical office procedures.

Duties:
- Review and verify accuracy of patient information, medical records, and insurance details
- Utilize medical coding systems such as DRG and ICD-10 to assign appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, identifying errors or discrepancies and resolving any issues
- Process payments received from insurance companies or patients, ensuring proper allocation and recording
- Maintain accurate records of billing activities, including invoices, payments, adjustments, and collections
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to resolve billing-related inquiries or discrepancies
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding guidelines
